Setting the Heater/Dryer Temperature

Normally, the settings for the media-drying devices such as the printer's heater and dryer are configured from the printer. Therefore, the default option for 2_1_printer_control_a Printer Controls is Use Printer Settings. Use Default Media Settings may be the default option depending on the model.

It is possible to configure settings from VersaWorks, such as when the printer is installed in a remote location.

However, depending on the model you are using, this option may not be available.

Procedure
  1. Click for the queue folder that you want to use.

    The Queue Properties window appears.
  2. Click .
  3. Select Use Custom Settings for Heater Controls.
    • Pre Heater
    • Print Heater
    • Dryer
    Select the check boxes to enable the setting of the device temperatures. Clear the check boxes to turn off the devices during printing. Depending on the model you are using, some setting items may not be displayed.
    The items that can be set vary depending on the printer.
  4. Click OK.
    IMPORTANT You can also configure the same setting in the Job Settings window.
