Step 3: Performing Printing
Procedure
- Add the print data where the spot color was specified to the job list.

Double-click the target file in the job list.
The Job Settings window appears.

- Select the Convert Spot Color check box.When spot colors are properly recognized, the following items are displayed:
Color Name The name of the spot color used with the job is displayed. MEMO If the spot color is one where the color type is defined in the Lab color space, a caution mark () is displayed when this color cannot be reproduced (it is out of the gamut) with the selected media and quality.
Nearest Color Finder When the check box is selected,is displayed for any spot colors where the Nearest Color Finder adjustments can be applied.
Output Color Displays the process color values to which the spot color has been converted. Click Details to display the Spot Color List window.
- For spot colors defined in the Lab color space, select the color matching method from the Matching Method list.
Color matching is performed according to this setting.Characteristics of Each Matching Method
The Quality will be ignored.
setting underIMPORTANT Spot colors not defined in the Lab color space will be printed according to the density curve set in the Media Explorer window. But in this case, the ink limit does not apply. Be cautious of excessive ink usage when printing. - Configure the media settings and other such settings necessary for printing.
- Click OK to close the Job Settings window.

Processing by the RIP and printing are performed.MEMO- You can fine-tune the output color if necessary.
- You can also enable Convert Spot Color by clicking
in the Queue Properties window. In this case, spot color conversion will be performed even if you do not enable this function in the Job Settings window.
