Step 3: Perform Printing

Follow the procedure below to check that spot colors have been properly recognized, and then start printing.

Procedure
  1. Add the print data where the spot color was specified to the job list.
  2. Select the file added to the job list.
  3. Check that the spot color is displayed for Document Information - Special Items in the preview area.
    • White: 1_3_2_white_ink
    • Gloss: 1_3_2_gloss_ink
    • Primer: 1_3_2_primer_ink
    • Metallic silver: 1_3_2_metaric_ink
  4. Double-click the added file.
    The Job Settings window appears.
  5. Click 2_1_quality_a.
  6. Set the Quality Settings - Mode.
    The following is an example. Mode varies depending on the model. It may also be necessary to specify Media Type.
    • White: White -> CMYK, CMYK -> White, etc.
    • Gloss: CMYK -> MatteVarnish, GlossVarnish, etc.
    • Primer: Primer -> CMYK, etc.
    • Metallic silver: CMYKMt, MetallicSilver, etc.
  7. Configure the other settings necessary for printing.
  8. Click OK to close the Job Settings window.

  9. Processing by the RIP and printing are performed.
