How to Replace the Head

MPX-90 Head Manager is used for the head replacement operation.

The pattern shown in the figure is struck during the head replacement operation. Prepare a piece of the test-use imprinting material (brass-plated plates) included with the replacement head (MPH-90) or other material measuring at least 60 mm (2.37 in.) by 60 mm (2.37 in.).

A replacement head is sold separately. Contact your authorized Roland DG Corporation dealer.

IMPORTANT
  • Do not stop the replacement operation halfway.
  • Do not use the head if the marking pin is worn out.
  • Do not use a head that has been detached from the machine.
Procedure
  1. Start MPX-90 Head Manager.

    • Windows 11

      1. Click Start.
      2. Click All apps - MPX-90 Head Manager.

    • Windows 10

      1. Click Start.
      2. Click MPX-90 Head Manager - MPX-90 Head Manager.

  2. Switch on the power to the machine.

  3. Click Replace Head.

    Follow the on-screen instructions to perform adjustment for the pin.

    Imprint the adjustment pattern using the head cap.

    Loading Material on the Machine

    If the adjustment pattern fails to be imprinted, refer to the sections given below.

    The Imprinted Location Isn't Where DesiredStriking is performed, but nothing is imprinted.
  4. When the work is finished, close MPX-90 Head Manager.
