Cutting the Media after Output

This section explains how to cut away the media after printing. For separation after cutting with crop mark printing, set margins before separation.

Depending on the model you are using, this setting may be disabled.

Procedure
  1. Perform the operation shown below according to what is being set.
    • Job
      • Double-click the job to set.
      • Right-click on the job to set, then click Edit Design - Job Settings .
      • With a job selected, click VW7_JobMenu1 on the left side of the job tool area, and then click VW7_CustomizeJob Settings .

      The Job Settings window appears.

    • Queue folder: Click VW7_Customize for the queue folder.

      The Queue Properties appears.

  2. Click VW7_PrinterControl Printer Controls.
  3. Select the type of cut with Cut Sheet after Output under General.
    • Sheet Cutting
    • Perforated Sheet Cutting
    MEMO Depending on the model, you may not be able to select Perforated Sheet Cutting.
  4. To set margins up to the cut position for cutting with crop marks or other cutting, specify the margin from Page Space.
    1. Select the Use Custom Settings checkbox.
    2. Set the margins from Page Space.
      The margins necessary for cutting with crop marks vary depending on the model.
      Reference value:
      • VG2/SG2 series: 90 mm (3.5 in.)
      • VG3/SG3 series: 140 mm (5.52 in.)
      • BN2/BY series: 108 mm (4.26 in.)

      For models other than the above, check the instruction manual for your printer.

  5. Click OK.
    • Any changes made in Job Settings will be applied, and you will be returned to the main window.
    • When changes are made in Queue Properties:
      • When a message for saving the printing settings appears, click OK.
      • To apply the changes to a job already in the queue folder, right-click on the job and click Copy/Paste Setting Value - Apply Current Queue Settings. The changes are reflected in the layout area of the main window.
