Setting the Printing Position

Even when the printing position that was set for the printer is not changed, the printing position can be changed in the horizontal and vertical directions with VersaWorks. This setting can be made on the job or on the queue folder.
Procedure
  1. Perform the operation shown below according to what is being set.
    • Job
      • Double-click the job to set.
      • Right-click on the job to set, then click Edit Design - Job Settings .
      • With a job selected, click VW7_JobMenu1 on the left side of the job tool area, and then click VW7_CustomizeJob Settings .

      The Job Settings window appears.

    • Queue folder: Click VW7_Customize for the queue folder.

      The Queue Properties appears.

  2. Click VW7_Layout Layout.
  3. Under Position , perform one of the following operations:
    • Enter the values in X and Y.

The job is moved by the specified offset in relation to the job list layout area window's upper left corner (lower right of set up media). [X] sets the right distance and [Y] sets the downward distance. The actual printing will be output rotated 180°, so horizontal movement will be to the left and vertical movement will be to the top.

    • Select the Center on the Media checkbox.

When using roll media, the job is moved to the horizontal center of the media. When using sheet media or standard-size media, the job is moved to the horizontal and vertical center of the media.

MEMO When changes are made in Job Settings , you can check the changed position in the layout area.
  4. Click OK.
    • Any changes made in Job Settings will be applied, and you will be returned to the main window.
    • When changes are made in Queue Properties:
      • When a message for saving the printing settings appears, click OK.
      • To apply the changes to a job already in the queue folder, right-click on the job and click Copy/Paste Setting Value - Apply Current Queue Settings. The changes are reflected in the layout area of the main window.

MEMO If, after printing, you are performing laminating followed by cutting (block & cut), clear the Center on the Media checkbox. If the Center on the Media checkbox is selected, the cutting position may be misaligned.
