Transitioning Data from VersaWorks 6 to VersaWorks 7
Procedure
VersaWorks 6 Operation

Use the latest version of VersaWorks 6.
For details, see the VersaWorks 6 Help.

In an arbitrary location, create a folder where the backup data should be stored.
Make sure the folder is empty.
- Exit VersaWorks 6.

Start the VersaWorks 6 Initialize tool.
- Windows 11 (version: 24H2)
Click All apps, and then click .
or - Windows 10 (version: 22H2)
Click Start, and then click .
The VersaInit window appears. - Windows 11 (version: 24H2)
- Click Back Up.
- Click [...], specify the folder created in Step 1, and then click Back Up.

Click Yes.
The backup data will be saved in the specified folder.
- When a completion message appears, click OK.

Click Close.
The VersaInit window closes.
VersaWorks 7 Operation
- Exit VersaWorks 7 if it is running.

Start VW7 Data Management in VersaWorks 7.
- Windows 11 (version: 24H2)
Click All apps, and then click .
or - Windows 10 (version: 22H2)
Click Start, and then click .
The VW7 Data Management window appears. - Windows 11 (version: 24H2)
- Click Restore.

Click [...], and then specify the folder in which the VersaWorks 6 backup data was saved.
When you specify the folder, you are returned to the VersaInit window.
- Click Restore.

In the restore confirmation window, click Yes.
The VersaWorks 6 backup data will be loaded.
- When a completion message appears, click OK.

Click Close.
The VW7 Data Management window closes.
- Start VersaWorks 7 to make sure that the data has transitioned.
