Bringing the Printed Color Closer to the Monitor Color

In the monitor, colors are expressed as a combination of the three primary colors (RGB) of light. However, the printer expresses colors as a combination of the ink colors (such as CMYK). This difference in principles makes it impossible to have the exact same monitor colors and printed colors. In addition, there may be differences in the printed colors depending on the media, resolution, or printing environment.

However, you can bring the monitor color closer to the printed color by selecting an RGB profile that is close to the printed color.
Procedure
  1. Display the Preferences (Windows) or Preferences (Mac) of the menu bar.
    • Windows: Click Edit - Preferences on the menu bar.
    • Mac: Click VersaWorks7 - Preferences in the menu bar.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Select the Enable Monitor Proofing checkbox.
  4. Select Monitor Profile.

For details, see "Customizing the Color Settings" in the VersaWorks 7 Master Guide.

    MEMO

Set to High Quality from the Preview - Quality list box. However, VersaWorks 7 will run slower.

Changes to monitor quality will be applied to print data that has been added to subsequent job lists.
