Specifying the Hot Folder and Outputting from the Design Software

You can specify the hot folder and output from the design software.

You can save time by sending the print data to VersaWorks and outputting this data via the hot folder from the design software.

Procedure
VersaWorks 7 Operation
  1. Set the hot folder and the output processing.
    1. Create a folder on the LAN network for the same computer on which VersaWorks has been installed.
    2. Click VW7-ICON_Customize for the queue folder to configure settings.
      The Queue Properties window appears.
    3. Click VW7-ICON_JobManagement Job$Management.
    4. Click ... under Hot Folder.
      A window for selecting a folder appears.
    5. Specify the hot folder.
      Select the folder you created in Step 1.
    6. Select RIP and Print for Action for Incoming Jobs - Action.
    7. Click OK.
      You are returned to the main window.
  2. Create the virtual printer.
    1. Click VW7-ICON_Home Home.
    2. Click VW7-ICON_Customize for the machine that you want to output to.
    3. Click Create Virtual Printer.
Operations in the design software
  1. Configure printing settings.
    MEMO The actual operation procedure varies depending on the OS and the version of this software.
    • Adobe Illustrator (version: 29.4)
      1. Click File - Print.
      2. Select VersaWorks7_(the nickname of the machine) for Printer.
      3. Click Print.
    • CorelDRAW (version: 25.2)

      1. Click File - Print.
      2. Select VersaWorks7_(the nickname of the machine) for Printer.
      3. Click Print.
    The print data is sent to VersaWorks and is output via the hot folder.
