Correcting the Size of Spot Color Plates
Depending on the printer, this function may not be displayed.
Procedure
- Double-click on the job with the misaligned spot color plate to open Job Settings.

- Use Mode under Quality Settings to select the mode including the spot color.

- Use the Spot Color list under Special Color Plate Correction to select the spot color ink to correct.
- Click Test Print under Size Correction. The Test Print dialog box appears.
- Select Pattern Settings.
The stages consist of simplified stages that are coarse with units of 5, and detail stages that are fine with units of 1. The following test patterns are expressed using a blue spot color.
- Simple (5)Select this when size difference is large (when making rough adjustments to the size).
- Detailed (1)Select this when size difference is small (when making fine adjustments to the size).

Click OK.
A test pattern is printed.
- Enter the Size correction value.Select the value on the printed test pattern that makes the size difference between the black frame and the spot color frame the smallest. Enter the Size Correction value written on the test pattern.IMPORTANT The test pattern correction values differ for each job. Set the default values for each job.
- Click OK to close the Job Settings window.
