4. Connect the cables.

Procedure
  1. Attach the three clamps to the positions shown in the figure.

  2. Connect the cable between the dryer and the dryer controller.
    This work must be performed by a suitably qualified worker. Never attempt to perform this work yourself.
    CAUTION

    Leave this work to a suitably qualified worker.

    This procedure includes work near sources of electrical danger and complex assembly work. Incorrect work may result in injury and mechanical malfunction.

    MEMO When connecting the cable between the dryer and the dryer controller, be sure to make the cable slack on the dryer side. This will help prevent interference when the right cover is opened.
  3. Connect the cable between the dryer controller and the printer.
    1. Secure the cable with two clamps as shown in the figure.
      • The clamps are shared with the cable for the take-up unit.
      • Pass the cable between the stand leg and the cable connecting the dryer and the dryer controller.

    2. Connect the cable to the DRYER connector on the unit.
      Use a number 1 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the connector screws.

  4. Connect the two power cables for the dryer controller.
    1. Connect the two power cables while the switch is turned off.
    2. Secure the two power cables with the clamp.
      Do not connect to the electrical outlet yet.
