1. Creating a Simulation Profile (Add-on)
Procedure
- Prepare the measurement instrument and start the color matching menu.
- Set the measurement instrument.Set it to make it ready to perform the measurement.
- Click
(hamburger menu) of the target printer in the main window, or
to the right of the target printer on the home screen.
- Click Printer Color Match (Extended).
- Select Configure Color Match Settings with a Different Model, and then click Next >.The window changes to Color Match Settings for a Different Model.
- Click Add Color Match Setting for Different Models.
- Enter the setting name and click OK.
- Set the measurement instrument.
- A: Set the target printer and the printing conditions.
- Select Select from Printers Connected to VersaWorks.MEMO When using target printers that are not connected to VersaWorks, such as third-party printersFollow the steps below to print a profile chart. Next, measure the color and create the simulation profile.
- Select Printer Not Connected to VersaWorks.
- Create and save the profile chart data.
- Print the profile charts on printers not connected to VersaWorks.
- Select the target printer from Printer.
- Click Settings under Printing Conditions.The Printing Condition Settings window appears.
- Set Media Type, Print Quality, and similar items, and then click OK.The Printing Condition Settings window closes and the Printer Color Match (Extended) window with the set printing conditions appears.
- Click Next >.
- Select Select from Printers Connected to VersaWorks.
- Print the profile chart and measure the color.
- Select a chart and click Print Job.
- When the Print Chart window appears, click OK.The profile chart is printed.
- Perform Measure.Perform color measurement as directed in the instructions shown in the window.
- Repeat steps (1) to (3) to print and measure all charts.
- Click Next >.
- Create a simulation profile.
- On the simulation profile creation window, enter the names for the CMYK and RGB simulation profiles.Ensure that the names are not duplicates of existing profile names.
- Click Create.The CMYK and RGB simulation profiles will be created.
- On the simulation profile creation window, enter the names for the CMYK and RGB simulation profiles.
