Configures the spot color printing settings.

Special Color Plate GenerationWhen there is a spot color that is not used in print data, you can generate spot color plates (white, gloss, primer, and metallic silver) in VersaWorks. You cannot generate spot color plates with printing data where all of [RDG_WHITE], [RDG_GLOSS], [RDG_PRIMER], and [RDG_MetallicSilver] are used in Illustrator. (When one of [RDG_WHITE], [RDG_GLOSS], [RDG_PRIMER], or [RDG_MetallicSilver] is used, spot color plates can be generated only for the spot colors that are not used.)
Generate Special Color PlateThe checkbox is active when the spot color selected with Quality Settings - Mode is not used in print data.
Generated PatternSpecifies the location to generate the spot color plate.
Print AreaThe plate is generated below the objects.
Outside Print AreaThe plate is generated in a location where no objects are present.
Entire ImageThe plate is generated for the entire job size.
DensitySpecifies the spot color plate density.
Special Color Plate CorrectionThe spot color plate setting is displayed in the top part. Specify the position and size correction values in the bottom part.
Print ModeDisplays the Media Type, Print Quality, Resolution, and Mode from the quality settings.
Spot ColorDisplays the generated spot color.
WhiteGenerates a white spot color plate.
GlossGenerates a gloss spot color plate.
PrimerGenerates a primer spot color plate.
Metallic SilverGenerates a metallic silver spot color plate.
Position Correction

First click Test Print, then select either Simple or Details and click OK. Based on the test printing results, enter Horizontal and Vertical correction values.

  • Select Simple to make rough corrections.
  • Select Details to make detailed corrections.
