File Format

Configures the necessary settings to match the file format and color settings of the data to print.

Spot Color Settings Displayed in the color name field when a spot color is used in the job. When the output color is specified in the detail settings, the specified value is displayed in the output color field.  
  Convert Spot Color When the RIP is selected, spot color conversion is performed. Even when spot color conversion is performed, the spot color in the preview image is not converted. Using a Color of Another Spot Color Library for the Output Color
    Color Name The color name and output color are displayed when a spot color is used in the job.  
    Output Color  
    Details Opens the [Spot Color List] window.  
      Spot Color List The name of the spot color used in the job is displayed.  
      Edit Output Color Used when spot color conversion is performed.  
        Edit Spot Color

Specifies the conversion color using Use Color Library, Specify Lab, or CMYK.

When a spot color name which includes a library name is selected in the [Spot Color List], the [Edit Output Color] check box changes to [Use Spot Color Library].

 
        Use Color Library From Spot Color Management, select the spot color library in the pull-down list, and then select from the list below.  
        Specify Lab Uses the values from measurement or an ordinary color library, and specifies the "L," "a," and "b" values.  
        CMYK Specifies the CMYK values.  
        Matching Method Specifies how to perform conversion when the color is specified with the Lab color space.  
          Perceptual Converts colors while maintaining tonal balance. The color values are changed, but their values relative to each other remain the same. This setting is suitable for photographic images.  
          Colorimetric Converts colors with emphasis on brightness. A color outside of the printer's color gamut is converted to a color with the same brightness within the printer's color gamut.  
          Saturation Converts colors with emphasis on color vibrancy. A color outside of the printer's color gamut is converted to a color with the same saturation within the printer's color gamut. This setting is suitable for printing charts and graphs.  
          Absolute This option is not commonly used. Select this setting for special uses such as printing logo colors.  
Special Color Settings When a special color is set, it is displayed in the Input Color and Output Color fields. When the output color is edited in the Details settings, the CMYK values are changed.  
  Convert Special Color (Value Specified Color) When the RIP is selected, special color conversion is performed. Even when special color conversion is performed, the special color in the preview image is not converted.  
    Input Color When a special color is set, Input Color and Output Color are displayed.  
    Output Color  
    Details The Special Color List window appears. Fine-tuning the Output Color of a Special Color
      Special Color List The registered special colors are displayed. When the output color is specified with the Lab color space, right-click in the [Matching Method] column to select the matching method.
      Edit Output Color Used when special color conversion is performed.
        Select color from Roland Color System Library Specifies the Roland Color System Library CMYK values.
        CMYK Specifies the CMYK values.
  Matching Method Sets the color matching method. When CMYK values are specified, the Matching Method setting is disabled.
