Step 3: Output to the Printer from VersaWorks

Before You Start Printing

The precipitation of the ingredients in the ink disables printing in normal color. So that the ink mixes well, shake the ink cartridge horizontally with a stroke length of around 5 cm (2 in.) from each end of the ink cartridge. Each day, before starting the day's operations, be sure to carry out this step.
  • Remove the white ink cartridge, shake it 50 times (about 20 seconds), and then reinsert this cartridge.
  • The ink cartridges for colors other than white do not need to be shaken before every operation, but be sure to shake them when installing new ones.

Using the white ink cartridge without shaking it will lead to white ink precipitation, possibly resulting in faint whites during printing. Also, leaving the ink cartridge unshaken can cause the settled material to harden, resulting in malfunction or other problems.

The CIRCULATE INK function circulates the white ink when its concentration decreases, eliminating white ink precipitation and restoring white ink concentration.
