7. Reducing Output Time (Bidirectional Printing)

MEMO

This guide provides the procedure for machines that can be set to bidirectional printing.

When the print head makes an outbound pass and a return pass across the object to be printed on, ink is discharged in both passes.

Direction

This provides the advantage of reducing the output time, but subtle misalignment of the ink landing position occurs easily due to differences in the movement direction. The procedure to correct this misalignment is "Bidirectional Correction." The misalignment amount varies depending on the distance between the head and the print surface, so readjustment is necessary if the head height or the thickness of the object to be printed on changes. Perform correction that matches the object to be printed on.
