Tip: Generating a Primer Spot Color Plate in VersaWorks

Follow the procedure below to easily create in VersaWorks a primer spot color plate in printing data that does not include RDG_PRIMER.
IMPORTANT You cannot set the generation of spot color plates when:
  • The printing data is in raster format.
  • Pr is displayed for Document Information - Special Items.
Procedure
  1. Double-click the target job.
    The Job Settings window appears.
  2. Click .
  3. Select the Generate Special Color Plate check box.
    MEMO If the check box is grayed out, the printing data already includes spot color RDG_PRIMER.


  4. Select Generated Pattern.
    • Print Area Primer is generated below the illustration data.
    • Outside Print Area Primer is generated below the non-illustration data.
    • Entire Image Primer is generated below all the loaded data.
  5. Click OK.
    The Job Settings window closes.
