Adding Cylinder Caps

Adding Cylinder Caps (For Holes)

AddRedCaps

You can use this function to manually close the screw access hole in an implant object such as a hybrid abutment, an abutment, or a bur. If you use this tool, the hole will be covered with a cap, allowing only for cutting during drilling and eliminating wasteful milling by the milling machine due to rough cutting and finish milling. For hybrid abutments and titanium-based abutments, this step is required to prevent unnecessary cutting and milling.

MEMO

It is recommended to select the part where the cylinder is closest to a complete shape within the screw access channel. If you select anything else, it may take a long time to detect the hole (red cap) or, depending on the screw access channel, this hole may be detected inaccurately.

IMPORTANT

For hybrid abutments, a hole (red cap) is necessary on the top and on the base of the screw access channel. If the position where the hole (red cap) is detected or placed is lower than the base of the screw access channel, there may be issues such as the hybrid abutment not being cut correctly, problems existing with the fit, and the hole being incomplete.

You can also manually specify the boundary of the location where the red cap will be placed. This is useful when the internal shape of a hybrid abutment is not ideal.
