Changing the Offset/Dental Prosthesis Boundary

You can use this function to change the boundary of the dental prosthesis selected in the job. Hold down the [Ctrl] key and click a dental prosthesis to select it.
When undercutting occurs, if there is sufficient material compared to the dental prosthesis, you can ensure enough clearance to allow the cutting bur to reach the back of the thick block material.
Example: When using a 2.5 mm (0.1 in.) cutting bur for rough cutting, normally set the dental prosthesis boundary to 3 mm (0.12 in.) or more.
- This takes into account the cutting bur of 2.5 mm (0.1 in.) and also provides a clearance of 0.5 mm (0.02 in.) to allow for proper discharge of the material.
MEMO
You can also change the dental prosthesis boundary/offset value in the pop-up window that appears when you select a dental prosthesis. When you are using this function via the pop-up window, you are instructed to move the dental prosthesis or place it again within the block material. The dental prosthesis is not moved or placed automatically.
