1. Creating a Simulation Profile (Add-on)

Procedure
  1. Prepare the measurement instrument and start the color matching menu.
    1. Set the measurement instrument.
      Set it to make it ready to perform the measurement.
    2. Click VW7-ICON_HamburgerMenu (hamburger menu) of the target printer on the main screen, or VW7_Customize to the right of the target printer on the home screen.
    3. Click Printer Color Match (Extended).
    4. Select Perform color matching between different models or models from different manufacturers., and then click Next >.
      The screen changes to Color Match Settings (Color Match Settings for a Different Model).
    5. Click Add Color Match Setting for Different Models.
    6. Enter the setting name and click OK.
  2. Set the target printer and the printing conditions.
    1. Select Select from Printers Connected to VersaWorks.
      MEMO When using target printers that are not connected to VersaWorks, such as third-party printers
      Follow the steps below to print a profile chart. Next, measure the color and create the simulation profile.
      1. Select Printer Not Connected to VersaWorks.
      2. Create and save the profile chart data.
      3. Print the profile charts on printers not connected to VersaWorks.
    2. Select Printer A from Printer.
    3. Click Settings under Printing Condition Settings.
      The Printing Condition Settings screen appears.
    4. Set the Media Type, Print Quality, and Printing Resolution [dpi], and then click OK.
      The Printing Condition Settings screen closes and the Color Match Settings (Color Match Settings for a Different Model) screen with the set printing conditions appears.
    5. Click Next >.
  3. Print the profile chart and measure the color.
    1. Select a chart and click PRINT.
    2. When the Print Chart window appears, click OK.
      The job is added to the job list. Print the profile chart.
    3. Configure the Calibrate.
      Calibrate the measurement instrument as directed in the instructions shown on the screen.
    4. Select the chart to measure, click Measure, and measure the profile chart.
      Perform color measurement as directed in the instructions shown on the window.
    5. Repeat steps (1) to (4) to print and measure all charts.
    6. Click Next >.
  4. Create a simulation profile.
    1. On the simulation profile creation screen, enter the names for the CMYK and RGB simulation profiles.
      Ensure that the names are not duplicates of existing profile names.
    2. Click Create.
      The CMYK and RGB simulation profiles will be created.
