Step 1: Saving the Reference Printer Data

Define the reference colors, print a color chart, and then use a measurement instrument to save the reference colors as the Reference Printer Data.

Procedure
  1. Connect the measurement instrument to the computer, and then set up the measurement instrument.
  2. Select the printer to reference, and then click VW7-ICON_HamburgerMenu (the hamburger menu).
  3. Click Printer Color Match Settings.
  4. Click the Print Chart tab.
  5. Select Reference Printer Data for Printer Data Type.
  6. Click Printing Condition Settings.
    Configure settings as necessary.
  7. Click OK.
    The Printing Condition Settings window closes.
  8. Click Print.

    The Print Chart for Printer Color Matching window appears.

  9. Specify the location to add the job (Queue A to E), and click OK.
    When the message "Job has been sent successfully. appears," click OK. The color chart is printed.
  10. Click the Measure Chart tab.
  11. Perform color measurement.
    • Depending on the type of measurement instrument, it may be necessary to perform calibration in advance.
    • Perform color measurement as directed in the instructions shown on the window.
  12. When the measurement is finished, click Register.

    The Register Reference Printer Data window appears.

  13. Enter the desired name in Reference Printer Data (Required).
    If you want to record the Media Name for Chart Printing, enter it.
  14. Click OK.
    The Register Reference Printer Data window closes.
  15. Click OK in the Printer Color Match Settings window.

    The Printer Color Match Settings window closes.

This completes the procedure for saving the reference color data as the Printer Color Match Settings. Saved Printer Color Match Settings is listed on the Printer Color Match Settings tab in the Printer Color Match Settings window.
