Adjusting the Color Saturation, Contrast, and Brightness of the Entire Image

This section explains how to adjust the saturation of each ink, contrast, and brightness of the entire image.
Procedure
  1. Perform the operation shown below according to what is being set.
    • Job
      • Double-click the job to set.
      • Right-click on the job to set, then click Edit Design - Job Settings .
      • With a job selected, click VW7_JobMenu1 on the left side of the job tool area, and then click VW7_CustomizeJob Settings .

      The Job Settings window appears.

    • Queue folder: Click VW7_Customize for the queue folder.

      The Queue Properties appears.

  2. Click VW7-ICON_ColorSetting Color Management.
  3. Use the Level Adjustment slider bars to adjust the following levels.
    MEMO Adjusting the slider bars under Level Adjustment has the same effect as increasing or decreasing by 10 percent the OUT value (when IN is 50 percent) when performing tone curve adjustment after clicking VW7-ICON_OpenDetailSetting next to Tone Curves.
    C (Cyan) / M (Magenta) / Y (Yellow) / K (Black)*1 Move the bar to the + (right) direction to darken and to the - (left) direction to lighten the color. Clear the Set individual level checkbox to adjust All Colors together.
    Contrast Move the bar to the + (right) direction to increase and to the - (left) direction to decrease the contrast.
    Brightness Move the bar to the + (right) direction to increase and to the - (left) direction to decrease the brightness.
    Reset ALL Click this button to reset all the level adjustment parameters to their default values (0). You can check the adjusted image in the layout area preview.
    *1 The colors displayed will vary depending on the model used.
  4. Click OK.
    • Any changes made in Job Settings will be applied, and you will be returned to the main window.
    • When changes are made in Queue Properties:
      • When a message for saving the printing settings appears, click OK.
      • To apply the changes to a job already in the queue folder, right-click on the job and click Copy/Paste Setting Value - Apply Current Queue Settings. The changes are reflected in the layout area of the main window.
