Printing with Special Colors

To use special colors in VersaWorks, first you must register a color (input color: RGB or CMYK) that you want to use as a special color and the color (output color: CMYK or Lab) after replacement in Special Color Settings. Then check the special color from File Format - Special Color Settings and perform printing.

MEMO

When the special color function is used, it is possible to convert the input color to a CMYK value or Lab value, however when the output color after replacement is CMYK, it will not be the target for color matching.Characteristics of Each Matching Method

When printing a color (C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 0) through the regular workflow, color matching is performed and the ink used may not be exactly (C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 0). However when replacement with special colors is performed, the output colors are not targeted for color matching and printing will be performed using the specified CMYK values.
