Step 2: Cut the Processed Media

Removed media is laminated or otherwise processed, then loaded again in the printer and only cutting is performed.
Procedure
  1. Apply the lamination or other desired post-processing, and then set up the media on the printer again.
    For details on setting up media that includes crop marks, refer to the printer manual.
  2. Double-click the printed job.
    The Job Settings window appears.
    IMPORTANT If the Center on the Media check box is selected, clear it. If the Center on the Media check box is selected, the printing and cutting positions may be misaligned.
  3. Click .
  4. Check that Crop Marks (Print&Cut Alignment) under Marks is on.
  5. Click .
  6. From the Operation Mode list, select Cut Only.
  7. Select the following check boxes as necessary.
    • Cut All Paths

      Cuts along all lines (paths) drawn in vector format in the data. All paths will be recognized as cutting lines and will be cut regardless of whether they are drawn with the spot color (CutContour).

    • Cut Image Boundaries

      Cuts the border of the job regardless of whether a cutting line is present. The generated border cutting line can be checked with the preview in the job settings window.

    • Return to Origin After Print

      Pulls back the media after printing.

    • Return to Origin After Cut

      Returns the media to the origin (the position before cutting) after cutting.

    • Cut Passes

      Use this option to specify the number of cut passes when cutting thick media or hard media. Depending on the media, cutting multiple times with lower blade force may give more aesthetically pleasing results than cutting once with higher blade force.

    • Cutting Conditions Settings

      The settings can be configured for Cutting Speed and other printer cutting conditions.Configuring the Cutting Conditions

    • Execute PREFEED Operation

      Feeds out media according to the size of the data sent from the computer, pulls the media back to the output-start location, and then performs output. The cutting quality is especially stable because the media is not forcefully pulled tight.

  8. Click OK to close the Job Settings window.
  9. Click .
    The printer detects the crop marks to adjust the position of the media, and then performs cutting.
