Performing Perforated Cutting at Image Boundaries

This method performs perforated cutting at image boundaries for print data including cutting lines. Depending on the model you are using, this setting may be disabled.
Procedure
  1. Perform the operation shown below according to what is being set.
    • Job: Double-click the job to open the Job Settings window.
    • Queue folder: Click for the queue folder to open the Queue Properties window.
  2. Click .
  3. From the Operation Mode list, select one of the following.
    • Print & Cut
    • Cut & Print
    • Cut Only
  4. Select the Perform Perforated Cut for Image Boundaries check box under Perforated Cut Controls.
    Set items such as Cutting Options - Cut All Paths as necessary.
  5. Select the Cut Image Boundaries check box.
  6. Set Perforation Length, Perforation Force, Half-cut Length, and Half-cut Force.
    • Perforation Length: Length of the part that will be cut through to the backing paper

    • Perforation Force: Cutting force for the part that will be cut through to the backing paper

    • Half-cut Length: Length of the part where just the sticker surface will be cut, leaving the backing paper

    • Half-cut Force: Cutting force for the part where just the sticker surface will be cut, leaving the backing paper

  7. Click OK.
    • Any changes made in Job Settings will be applied.
    • When changes are made in Queue Properties:
      1. A message that printing settings will be overwritten appears. Click Yes.
      2. To apply the changes to a job already in the queue folder, select the job and click 1_2_2_4_clear_a.

    MEMO
    • The print data is an EPS file.
    • A cutting line has been drawn around the border.

      If both of the above conditions are met, additional settings are required. If you do not configure these additional settings, it may not be possible to cut a part of the border. Configure the settings shown below.

    1. In the Queue Properties window, click .
    2. Enter a value in Margin under EPS.
      • If you scale the image in the Queue Properties - Layout or Job Settings - Layout window, the size of the margin will also be scaled.

      • When you add a job to the job list, the margin set with Margin is automatically added within the range specified by the border.

  8. Click .
    Output starts.

    You can also change these settings in the Job Settings window after adding a job to the job list. However, you cannot change the Cut All Paths setting or the Margin setting under EPS.
