Creating White Data That Utilizes the Color of the Media

This topic applies to printer models equipped with white ink. Note that models not equipped with white ink are not relevant to this topic.

A white base is created with white ink and then the white base is partially eliminated to form the shapes of characters and figures.

This is used to partially eliminate the white base and make use of the color of the media.

The data in the red frame in the figure below will be created.

Procedure
  1. Create the shape you want to print in white with lines or figures.

    You can hold down tb_main_bezier or tb_main_rectangle to select another tool.

  2. Create a hollowed-out shape with characters, lines, and figures as in step 1.

  3. Click tb_main_select.
  4. Place the hollowed-out shapes created in step 3 on top of the white base created in step 1.

    Select a hollowed-out shape with tb_main_select, and place it by moving it over the white base or using Align.

  5. Press A while holding down Ctrl to select a white base and hollowed-out shape.
  6. Right-click the selected items, and then select Combine - Compound.

    The white base and the hollowed-out shape are compounded, and the white base is hollowed out.

  7. Select Solid fill on the PaintTool tab in Fill/Stroke Editor.
  8. Select RDG_WHITE for the Fill Color.

    A white base is created.
