Adding a Fixing Jig (and Virtual Jig) for a New Product

When a new jig was created to produce a new product, or when newly using a fixing jig that was improved to increase production efficiency, add a new jig.

This must be performed by a user who has jig edit privileges.

Procedure
  1. If you are not logged in to PAM-Web, log in.
    Log in using a PAM account and password, not Roland DG Connect.
  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Jigs.

    The Available Jigs display appears.
  4. Click New Jig.

  5. Enter the jig size and thickness according to the fixing jig design drawing (dimensions drawing).
    1. Enter the name of the jig in Name.
    2. Enter the jig size in Width and Height.
    3. Enter the jig thickness in Thickness.
      Thickness is the thickness to the height of the printing surface when the object is installed. Be aware that it is not the thickness of only the fixing jig.

  6. Set the object and the print image.
    This explains the procedure for jig specifications where multiple of the same object are arranged on the fixing jigs and printing is performed all at once.
    1. Click Add Multiple.
      The Object box details display appears.

    2. Enter the size of the object in Width and Height.
    3. Enter the distance from the neighboring object in Horizontal Margin and Vertical Margin.
    4. Enter the Image box (image print frame) size in Image box Width and Image box Height.
    5. Set the position of the Image box (image print frame) within the Object box in Image Placement.
      Enter the amount of offset from the lower right point of the Object box when lower right is selected in Image box X and Image box Y.
    6. Set the image rotation angle in Rotation.
    7. Set the image reversal in Mirror.
    8. Set the image scale in Scale.
    9. Set the image position within the Image box in Reference Point.
    10. Click Add.
      An Object box is placed to fill all the jigs.
  7. Click icon_edit.png under Location.
    The Select Locations display appears.

    Select the location to place this jig, and click OK.

  8. Click icon_edit.png under Printer Type.
    The Select Printer Types display appears.

    Click a printer type where this jig can be installed to select it, and then click OK.

  9. Check the settings again, and then click Add.
    Copy an Object box and position each copy at the set distance with one copy on each jig.
