Step 3: Securing with the Retainers
2.5 mm (0.1 in.) and 3.0 mm (0.12 in.) hexagonal wrenches are included. Use the 2.5 mm (0.1 in.) hexagonal wrench for retainers A and B, and the 3.0 mm (0.12 in.) hexagonal wrench for retainers C and D.
- If the vacuum table or rotary axis unit is attached, remove it.
- Switch off the sub power.
- Turn off the main power switch.

Open the front cover and maintenance cover.
MEMO
Be sure to hold the handle of the front cover and keep holding it until the cover is completely opened or closed.
If you do not open and close the front cover gently, it may break or you may be injured.
- Push the flat table by hand all the way to back.

Using a hexagonal wrench, remove retainers A, B, C, and D from the retainer storage area located inside the maintenance cover.
Use the screws from the loss prevention screw holder () and the screws securing the retainer to mount the fixing jig.

Install retainers A, B, C, and D at the positions indicated in the figure.
- Retainer A
Place retainer A behind the head gap sensor (), and then secure it with four screws.
- Retainer B
- Place retainer B behind the belt ().
- Fit the groove of retainer B onto the print-head carriage () and secure with screws.
- Retainers C and D
Attach retainers C and D to the base of the flat table and secure them with four screws.

Close the front cover and the maintenance cover.
