Step 2: Setting the Cutting Conditions
- If Roland DG Connect Hub and VersaWorks are not running, start them.
- Check that the material has been properly loaded and set up.
- Click
Print in the upper-right corner of the window.
The Send To VersaWorks window appears.If editing of the design is in progress, perform the operation after saving the design file.
- On the Settings tab, set the following items.
- Local User
- Printer Name
When you enter values in these two locations, the other items are automatically set. Change them as necessary.
- Set Action incoming jobs under Job Management.
- Do Nothing
The job is sent to queue A of the model set in VersaWorks.
- RIP
The job is sent to queue A of the model set in VersaWorks and is processed by the RIP according to the settings of queue A.
- RIP and Print
The job is sent to queue A of the model set in VersaWorks and is processed by the RIP and is printed according to the settings of queue A.
- Do Nothing
- On the Controls tab, set the following items.
- Cut Controls
Operation Mode: cut only is selected. You cannot change this setting.
- Cut all paths
Off
- Cut image boundaries
Off
- Return to origin after print
Off
- Number of Cuts
1, however, if it is difficult to cut the media, set a larger number to cut multiple times.
- Execute PREFEED Operation

The values of Cutting speed, Cutting force, and Blade offset vary depending on the media. For more information on the settings, refer to Cutting Conditions.
- Perforated cut conditions
The values of PerfCut image boundaries, Perforated length, Perforated force, Half cut length, and Half cut force vary depending on the media. For more information on the settings, refer to Separating the Cut Area Later.
