1. Attach the arms.

Procedure
  1. Temporarily tighten the bolts on the left stand as seen from the rear of the printer.
Tighten the bolts in the holes on the side of the stand until you can see approximately 5 mm (0.2 in.) of their threads (A).

  2. Attach the left arm to the temporarily tightened bolts, and then slide this arm to the right.

MEMO Each arm can only be used on the left or right side. Attach the stays so the holes shown with arrows in the following figure face the center (inside) of the printer.

  3. Temporarily tighten the bolts at the bottom of the left arm.

  4. By hand, tighten the temporarily tightened bolts until there is no gap between the left arm and the stand.
MEMO Hold the pieces together so there is no gap between the left arm and stand when tightening the bolts.
  5. Align the ends of the arm and stand as shown in the figure, and then use a hexagonal wrench to fully tighten the upper bolts () followed by the lower bolts ().

  6. In the same manner, attach the right arm as seen from the back of the printer.
Perform steps 1 to 3. At this point, only temporarily tighten the bolts.
  7. Insert the rear tension bar into the protrusion on the left arm, and then insert the bar into the protrusion on the right arm.

  8. While supporting the rear tension bar to prevent it from falling, tighten the bolts by hand until there is no gap.
  9. Fully tighten the bolts on the right arm, the same as step 5.
