Step 6: Connecting the Smoke Absorber

Connect the exhaust port of the oven and the air supply port of the smoke absorber with a duct hose and fix this hose in place with duct hose bands.

Procedure
  1. Pull back approximately 100 mm (3.94 in.) of the covering from the end of the duct hose, uncovering the lowest layer of the hose.

  2. Fit the duct hose band only on the lowest layer of the duct hose.

Fit the duct hose band on the duct hose at a position approximately 50 mm (1.97 in.) from the end of the hose.

  3. Insert the duct hose into the exhaust port of the oven and fix this hose in place with a duct hose band.

Use a screwdriver to tighten the duct hose band, fixing it in place.

  4. Return the covering pulled back in step 1 to its original position, and then place the duct cover on top.
  5. Use a (long) cable tie on top of the duct cover to fix it in place.
Fix the (long) cable tie in place between the duct hose band and the printer. In the following figure, the duct hose band is in the location indicated with the dotted line.

  6. Insert the duct hose into the air supply port (the one without a cap) on the right side of the smoke absorber, and then fix this hose in place with a duct hose band and a (long) cable tie.

Perform the same operations in steps 1 to 5 to attach a duct hose to the smoke absorber side as well.

  7. Remove the cap from the air supply port on the back of the smoke absorber.

Air in the room is taken in through the air supply port to which no hose is connected, so you must not leave the cap on this port.

  8. Release the exhaust from the smoke absorber to the air.
Leave the connection of the exhaust port of the smoke absorber and the equipment that discharges the smoke outside to a suitably qualified worker.
