Adding Objects

This section introduces how to add objects (such as text, shapes, clipart, and images) to a file being edited.

Procedure
  1. Click a button on the design toolbar.

    The panel for the clicked button appears.

    You can upload files from your computer in the panel in which Upload File is displayed.

    Button Description
    RDGCD_Icon_Toolbar_Text Text Adds text. Click Create Outline to create a shape with only the contours of the text.
    RDGCD_Icon_Toolbar_Path Path Draws a shape with a path. In addition to the basic shapes such as Rectangle and Ellipse, you can also freely draw shapes with Pen.
    RDGCD_Icon_Toolbar_Shapes Shapes Adds a vector shape. You can change the fill or line color. Double-click the shape added to the canvas to edit the path.
    RDGCD_Icon_Toolbar_Clipart Clipart Adds a vector illustration. Select a color used in the illustration, and then click Replace Color to replace the color.
    RDGCD_Icon_Toolbar_Images Images

    Adds an image. If you are using the DIMENSE module, you can edit the image by selecting the image, and then clicking Edit on the menu bar.

    Editing Images
    RDGCD_Icon_Toolbar_Patterns Patterns Applies design patterns to object fills. Select an object, and then click the pattern you would like to apply.
    RDGCD_Icon_Toolbar_Background Background Changes the background colors of designs.
  2. Click the object to be added from the displayed panel.
    The object is added to the canvas (editing area) and displayed on the window.
