Creating a Layout Template in VersaWorks

When entering a data file in VersaWorks, create a layout template that specifies placement for the previously created Variable Data Field Template.

Procedure
  1. From the menu bar, click Edit - Variable Data Template Management.
  2. Click > to the right of Variable Data Layout Template.
    The Variable Data Layout Template Management screen appears.
  3. Click VW7-ICON_CreateLibrary.
  4. From the Variable Data Field Template field, select the variable field template for which to set the layout.
  5. Enter the variable layout template name and click OK.
  6. Edit the variable layout template.
    • Position: X and Y

      The job is moved by the specified offset in relation to the job list layout area window's upper left corner (lower right of set up media).

    • Number of Tiles： Horizontal and Vertical

      The layout is created with the specified number.

    • Tile Spacing
      • Equal X and Y Spacing

        Specifies the Spacing from the adjacent image.

      • Separate X and Y Spacing

        Specifies the spacing from the adjacent image.

      • Grid Spacing

        Specify the value of the image size plus the spacing from the adjacent image.

  7. Click OK.
    The created template will be added to the Variable Data Layout Template Management screen.
  8. Click < Back.
