Outputting Multiple Jobs at Once

This section explains how to group multiple jobs and thereby output them with a single operation.

  • Example 1

Group together print data A, print data B, and print data C and print three copies. Because the printed materials will be in the sequence A-B-C, A-B-C, and A-B-C, you can produce 3 copies of the print object.

  • Example 2

By grouping white print data, CMYK print data, and gloss print data and performing pullback printing with the white and CMYK print data, you can obtain layered printing in the order of white > CMYK > gloss. In this case, for white print data and CMYK print data, select the checkbox for Cut Controls - Cutting Options - Return to Origin After Print, and then perform pullback printing.

Depending on the model you are using, this setting may be disabled.

Unlike nested jobs, the layout of the print data cannot be changed for grouped jobs. Therefore, printing such as that described under Reducing the Amount of Media Used is not possible, even if the print data is grouped.

Procedure
  1. Configure settings individually for each job as necessary.
  2. Select multiple jobs from the job list.
The method for selecting multiple jobs depends on the OS.
MEMO Job groups are grouped in the order they are selected. To specify the printing order, select the jobs in the printing order.
  3. Perform one of the following operations to group the jobs.
    • Right-click the selected multiple jobs, and then click Compile Jobs - Multiple Job Grouping.
    • With multiple jobs selected, click VW7_JobMenu1 on the right side of the job tool area, and then click VW7-ICON_GroupJobMultiple Job Grouping.
  4. Select and print the job group.
Processing by the RIP and printing are performed.
