Printing with Special Colors
This section uses the case in which the color (C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 0) specified in the application is printed as a special color as an example to explain the procedure.
Using the special color function, you can replace the color (C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 0) with (C: 100, M: 0, Y: 0, K: 0) or with a color defined with Lab values. Also, if the color after the conversion (the output color) is defined with the CMYK values, it will not be the target for color matching. When printing this color through the regular workflow, color matching is performed and the ink used may not be exactly (C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 0). However, with special colors, output colors are not targeted for color matching and will basically be printed with the specified ink.
