Measures When the Printer Is Not in Use for a Prolonged Period
Be sure to follow the instructions shown below when the printer is not in use for a prolonged period.
- Do not allow the machine to run out of ink or cleaning liquid.
The machine discharges ink and cleaning liquid during periodic cleaning. Set in the machine ink cartridges and a cleaning liquid cartridge having sufficient remaining ink. The machine cannot perform cleaning if it has run out of ink or cleaning liquid.
- Perform daily shut down cleaning once a week.Even if you are not using the printer, turn on the sub power once a week and perform daily shut down cleaning.IMPORTANT If daily shut down cleaning is not performed, the ink may harden.
- Ensure that the printer is not kept out of use for longer than one week at a time.DTF ink hardens easily. Use the printer in a way that ensures it is not kept out of use for longer than one week at a time.IMPORTANT If the printer is not used for a period longer than one week, the risk of ink hardening increases.MEMO To stabilize ink discharge, constantly operate the printer, even if the amount of daily printing has decreased. This constant printer operation leads to improved print quality.
- Keep the machine at a constant temperature and relative humidity.
Even when the machine is not in use, keep it at a temperature of 5 to 40°C (41 to 104°F) and a relative humidity of 20 to 80% (with no condensation). Temperatures that are too high may degrade the ink and cause malfunctions. Temperatures that are too low may cause the ink to freeze and damage the print heads.
