Cleaning around the Print Heads
The print head caps seal the nozzle surfaces of the print heads, preventing these surfaces from drying out and preventing dust from adhering to them. The wiper cleans the nozzle surface of the print heads, and the wiper cleaner cleans the wiper. The flushing sponge absorbs flushed ink to maintain nozzle spray performance. These are critical components that must be cleaned after daily operations. The nozzle surface must also be cleaned after daily operations. Cleaning the nozzle surface and around the print head caps is referred to as "Daily shut down cleaning." Be sure to perform daily shut down cleaning in the following situations.
