Setting the Automatic Maintenance Frequency

This machine periodically performs automatic cleaning such as cleaning before printing and cleaning that depends on the printing time. You can set the frequency of this automatic cleaning.

Procedure
  1. Tap AP-640_Panel_Icon_MENU.
  2. Tap Preferences - Automatic Maintenance Frequency.
  3. Select Automatic Maintenance Frequency from the following.
    AutoClean
    Automatic Maintenance Frequency Description
    Low

    Maximizes the interval between cleaning, minimizing the amount of ink and cleaning liquid that are used. Automatic cleaning is performed at the longest interval possible, so perform Normal Cleaning and similar cleaning if necessary.
    High Minimizes the interval between cleaning, keeping the print head nozzle surfaces in optimal condition at all times. A large amount of ink and cleaning liquid is used, but the frequency of Normal Cleaning and similar cleaning that you have to perform is minimized.
  4. Tap Save to confirm your entry.
  5. Tap AP-640_Panel_Icon_HOME to return to the home screen.
