Replacing the Wiper

IMPORTANT
  • To prevent the print heads from drying out, finish this procedure in 10 minutes or less. A warning beep sounds after 10 minutes.
  • Take care to prevent ink from adhering to the operation panel.
Procedure
  1. When the message The time for wiper replacement has arrived. appears, tap OK.
  2. Remove the object to be printed on.
  3. Tap VG3_Panel_Icon_NOTE_1note to display the messages.
  4. Tap The time for wiper replacement has arrived..

    The Wiper Replacement screen appears.
  5. Tap Execute.
    Tap Execute to display a message reminding the user to wear protective gear.
  6. Tap OK.
    Tap OK to move the print-head carriage to a location where wiper replacement is possible.
  7. Follow the instructions on the operation panel to replace the wiper.
    • Tap VG3_Panel_Icon_LEFT_blue or VG3_Panel_Icon_RIGHT_blue to check the procedure.
    • If you complete the work without viewing the instructions, tap Finish All.
    IMPORTANT
    • Install the wiper so that surface (1) faces to the right.
    • After installing the wiper, hold the hooks on the left and right sides, pressing in just enough so that the locks are not released. Then, gently pull the wiper up and check that it is not removed.

  8. When the wiper replacement is finished, tap Finish All.
  9. When Close the cover. is displayed, close the front cover and the maintenance cover.
    When you close the front cover and the maintenance cover, you are returned to the original screen.
    MEMO

    Be sure to hold the handle of the front cover and keep holding it until the cover is completely opened or closed.

    If you do not open and close the front cover gently, it may break or you may be injured.
