Installation and Initial Settings

VersaWorks Installation and License Authentication

Download and install VersaWorks, and authenticate the VersaWorks license.

1. Download VersaWorks.

  1. Access the following website.
    https://downloadcenter.rolanddg.com/GS2-24#software
  2. Click [VersaWorks 7].
  3. Click [for Mac].
    You will then be prompted to select a model, select a language, agree to the information handling policy, and complete a questionnaire. Download the software according to the on-screen instructions.

    4. 2. Install VersaWorks.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install VersaWorks.
    Read the software license agreement and click [I agree] if you agree with the contents.

    5. Registering the Machine to VersaWorks

  5. Start VersaWorks.
  6. On the home screen, click [Add Printer].
    The [Printer Registration] window appears.
  7. Click [Manual Registration].
    • For an Ethernet Connection
      • Select [TCP/IP], and then enter the IP address.
    • For a USB Connection
      • Select [Printer Driver], and then select the machine from [Printer Name].
  9. Click [Verify].
    The model name and firmware version are displayed.
  10. Click [Register].
    The machine will be registered.
  11. Enter the IP address and click [Verify].
    Download and install the file that defines the cutting machine. The model name and firmware version are displayed after installation is complete.
  12. Click VW_Setting to the right of the registered printer, and then click [Create Virtual Printer].
    The [User Account Control] window appears, so allow the operation.

    13. 3. Authenticate the license.

  13. Click [Help] in the menu bar, and then click [License Authentication].
  14. Follow the on-screen instructions and authenticate the license.
This completes the procedure for registering the cutting machine in VersaWorks.
