USB Connection

1. Downloading the Printer Driver

Important

A connection to the Internet is required to download the printer driver.

Download the printer driver on the computer to connect to the machine.

  1. Start the computer, and then log on with an account with "Administrator" rights.
    If you do not have these rights, ask the administrator to perform this work.
    MEMO

    Only the account with "Administrators" rights that was used to install this printer driver can use it.

  2. Click [Roland DG GS2 Driver MacOS].
  3. Click to the right of Roland DG GS2 Driver MacOS Installer/Updater [202*-**-**, Ver.*].
    The explanation screen appears.
  4. Read the software license agreement and click [I agree] if you agree with the contents.
    Download [Roland DG_GS2_Driver.dmg] to the desired location.
2. Installing the Printer Driver
    Important

    Before connecting the computer and the machine using a USB cable, be sure to install the driver.

    Important

    When connecting the machine and the computer using a USB cable, follow the precautions below.

    • Use the included USB cable.
    • Never use a USB hub.
    • Do not use a USB extension cable.
  1. Double-click the downloaded [Roland DG GS2 Driver.dmg] file.
  2. Double-click [Roland DG GS2 Driver.pkg].
    Follow the instructions in the install wizard to complete the installation.
3. Connecting the Computer to the Machine
  1. Press the power button to start the machine.

  2. Connect the machine to the computer using the USB cable.

  3. Check that the printer has been added to the computer.
    1. From the Apple menu, click [System Settings...].
    2. Click [Printers & Scanners].
      Check that the Roland GS2-24 is displayed in the area for printers.
      If it is displayed, the USB connection has been established.
