Step 1: Attaching the Arms

Procedure
  1. Open the front cover.
  2. Use the following procedure to remove the front shield.
    1. Use a number 2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the two upper bolts.
    2. Loosen the two lower bolts through approximately one turn.
    3. Slide the front shield up to remove it.
    4. Remove the two bolts loosened in step (2).
    The front shield is not used while the DU3 is in use. Store it in a safe location together with the bolts.

  3. Position the right arm on the right side as seen from the front of the printer.
    Align the protrusions on the machine with the holes on the arm.

    MEMO Each arm can only be used on the right (A) or left (B) side. Attach them on the correct sides.

  4. With the protrusions on the machine (A) centered in the holes on the arm, tighten the two small bolts by hand until there is no gap between the machine and the arm.
    Move the arm until these protrusions are centered.

  5. Fully tighten the two small bolts.

  6. In the same manner, attach the left arm to the left side.
