Setting the Temperature of Each Heater in the Oven

You can set the temperature of each heater in the oven. If a part of the media foaming has progressed too far or not far enough, you can fine-tune the temperature of the heater that heated the part in question.

The pattern may make it difficult to identify or see the numbers of the heaters that require temperature adjustment. A test pattern that makes it easy to identify the numbers of the heaters that require adjustment is available. Download this test pattern from the following link as necessary.

Load this file into VersaWorks, turn on Center on the Media, and then perform output. Check the foaming condition and the surface roughness of the media.

Procedure
  1. Set up the media.
  2. Tap the following location on the home screen.
    Panel_home_heater
    The Heater Temperature window appears.
  3. Tap Advanced Oven Settings.
    The Advanced Oven Settings window appears.
  4. Tap Panel_Icon_Minus or Panel_Icon_Plus to set the temperature of each heater.

    You can set the temperature increase/decrease in relation to the set temperature of the oven. When media foaming is insufficient, increase the temperature. When media foaming is excessive, decrease the temperature.

    The number of the temperature setting displayed on the operation panel indicates the number of the heater. The placement location of the heater is displayed on the machine.

  5. Tap Save to confirm your entry.
  6. Tap Panel_Icon_Home.
    The home screen appears.
