Configure settings to match the media.

To ensure the optimal output according to the media size and type, you can set the minimal amount of items. All items set here can be set individually as well.

Procedure
  1. Use Heater Temperature to set the temperatures of the print heater and oven.
    1. When you are using the print heater, tap Print Heater to turn it on.
      With the print heater on, tap Panel_Icon_Minus or Panel_Icon_Plus to set the temperature.
    2. Tap Panel_Icon_Minus or Panel_Icon_Plus next to Oven to set the temperature.
    3. Tap Next.
  2. Adjust the print head height using Print Head Height.
    • If this is not necessary, tap Next.
    • Follow the procedure below to make adjustments.
      1. Tap Change
      2. Check that the print head has stopped moving, and then open the front cover.
      3. Move the height-adjustment lever to adjust the head height.
      4. Close the front cover.
      5. Tap OK.
      6. Tap Next.

  3. On the Nozzle Drop-out Test screen, configure the Printing Test and Output Start Location settings.
    • If this is not necessary, tap Next.
    • To perform a Printing Test, tap Printing Test - Execute.

  4. On the Select Media Adjustment Method window, select the adjustment method.
    Here, the media feed correction for reducing horizontal bands and the correction of the landing position of the ink will be adjusted. Select manual adjustment for transparent media and media with high reflectance, whose edges cannot be detected.
    MEMO Simple Correction (Auto) is the recommended adjustment. You can determine the correction values with Detailed Correction (Manual).
    • Follow the procedure below to make automatic adjustments.
      1. Tap Simple Correction (Auto) - Next.
      2. Tap Execute on the Batch Automatic Correction screen.

        On successful completion of automatic adjustment, the Feed Correction screen appears.

      When automatic adjustment is performed, feed correction is not performed. If you want to perform feed correction, perform the following manual adjustments.

    • Follow the procedure below to make manual adjustments.
      1. Tap Detailed Correction (Manual) - Next.
      2. Tap Execute on the Multi Sensor Adjustment screen.
      3. Tap Next.
      4. Perform a printing test on the Detailed Media Gap Adjustment (Manual) screen.

        Set the correction values from the printing test result. For more information, refer to Manual Adjustment: Adjusting the Misalignment of the Ink Landing Position (Media Gap Adjustment).

      5. Tap Save and Proceed.
      6. Perform a printing test on the Feed Correction screen.

        Set the correction values from the printing test result. For more information, refer to Manual Adjustment: Reducing Horizontal Bands (Feed Correction).

      7. Tap Save and Exit.
This completes the setup of the media.
