Cautionary Notes on Making Output with Cutting
Points to Note When Cutting Only
For roll media, let the media hang down to the rear before outputting.
When using roll media and only performing cutting, let the media hang down to the rear of the machine. This prevents motor errors and the roll falling from the machine due to the media being pulled with excessive force.
Do not cut the media before it is pulled back if "Take back after printing" is specified in the BN-20 driver.
Do not cut the media before it is pulled back when the Rewind Media After Printing check box is selected in the Printer Adjustment tab of the BN-20 driver.
When the Rewind Media After Printing check box is selected, the media is pulled back after printing. If the media is cut before it is pulled back, ink might be discharged to a location where there is no media.
When you are performing printing and cutting, allow the ink to dry sufficiently before starting cutting.
You can set the time for the printer to wait before cutting (Dry Time) with the BN-20 driver or VersaWorks. The drying time varies according to the media.
