Replacing the Blade

If the blade becomes dull, if the edge of the blade is chipped, or if the cutting quality is lowered, replace the blade with a new blade.
WARNING

Be sure to perform operations as specified by the instructions, and never touch any area not specified in the instructions.

Sudden movement of the machine may cause injury.

CAUTION

Never touch the tip of the knife.

Doing so may result in injury. The cutting performance of the blade will also be impaired.

Procedure
  1. Open the Utility window.
  2. On the Replace Tools tab, click Replace Tools.

    When the screen shown in the figure appears, open the front cover and replace the blade.

  3. Remove the blade holder.

  4. Replace the blade.
    1. Press the pin (A).
    2. Remove the old blade (B).
    3. Install a new blade (C).

  5. Support the screw from below and insert the blade holder.
    Failure to do this may adversely affect the cutting quality.

  6. Tighten the screw.
    Tug the blade holder upward to make sure it does not come loose.

  7. Close the front cover.
    Click Close.

    This completes the replacement procedure.

  8. Make adjustments for cutting.
