Preparation Before Use

Installing the Software

Unzip the zip file

  1. Right-click [Roland_DG_Software_Package_for_BN-20A.zip], and then click [Extract All...].
  2. Click [Browse...], specify the folder in which to extract the files, and then click [Extract].

Installing the printer driver

    important

    If the BN-20's Driver & Utility is already installed on the computer connected to the BN-20A, update only the Utility.

    The program for updating Utility can be downloaded from the following URL.
    https://downloadcenter.rolanddg.com/BN-20

  1. Double-click [Roland_DG_Software_Package_for_BN-20A] folder where the files were extracted.
  2. Double-click [menu.exe].
  3. Click [Install].
    4. When the [User Account Control] appears, click [Allow] or [Yes]. After a while, the install menu appears automatically.
  4. Select [Install], Model name [Roland BN-20], Port [USB], and then click [Start].
  5. Click [Next].
  6. Check the license agreement.
    1. Select [I accept the terms in the license agreement].
    2. Click [Next].
  7. Click [Install].
    8. The installation starts. Wait until the operation finishes.
  8. When the following window is displayed, click [Install].
  9. When the following window is displayed, click [Finish].
    10. After completing the installation of the driver, continue to install the utility software.
  10. When the following window is displayed, click [Next].
  11. Check the license agreement.
    1. Select [I accept the terms in the license agreement].
    2. Click [Next].
  12. Click [Next].
  13. Click [Install].
    14. When the [User Account Control] appears, click [Allow] or [Yes].
  14. When the following window is displayed, click [Finish].

Installing the VersaWorks

  1. Double-click the [VersaWorks 6 Installer Package.exe].
    For the remainder of the procedure, refer to the VersaWorks "Installation Guide."
