Printing Without Being Affected by the Color of the Object (White Printing on a Base)

When printing directly on a dark-colored object, it becomes difficult to hide the base and the CMYK colors will develop poorly. In addition, transparent objects allow light to penetrate through them, which also results in poor CMYK color development. To improve CMYK color development, print in white on the base.

MEMO White plates cannot be generated for photo data sizes such as jpeg. If you mask with shapes in Designer, you can generate a white plate that conforms to the shapes.
Procedure
  1. Create CMYK print data in Designer.
  2. Generate a white plate in Designer.
    For details on how to generate white plates, refer to "Automatically Generating Spot Color Plates in Objects" in the Designer User's Manual.
  3. Click VSD_icon_PRINT.
    The Send to VersaWorks screen appears.
  4. Select White -> CMYK from Mode on the Settings tab.
  5. Once the other setup is complete, click Send to VersaWorks to print.
    The print data is sent to the printer, and then printing starts.
