Setting the Number of Simultaneous RIP Processing Operations
Max. # of concurrent RIP processes varies depending on the number of registered printers. If two printers are registered, you can select a value up to 2. If three printers are registered, you can select a value up to 3. If four to eight printers are registered, you can select a value up to 4.
For example, if there are three jobs that you want to perform RIP processing on, specifying 2 allows for simultaneous RIP processing on two of the three jobs. Then, when one RIP processing operation finishes, the RIP processing of the remaining jobs starts. However, when a large number is set, the amount of computer CPU usage and memory usage increase.
