Fine-tuning the Output Color of a Special Color
Procedure
- Select the job to fine-tune.
- Use one of the methods below to open the Job Settings window.
- Double-click the job to set.
- Right-click on the job to set, then click .
- With a job selected, click
on the left side of the job tool area, and then click
Job Settings .
- Click
Color Replacement.
- Click Details under Special Color Settings.The Special Color List window appears.
You can check the following information:
Input Color RGB or CMYK values of the defined special color Library Name Name of the library that the special color is registered in Library Output Color values defined in the library
MEMO If the output color is a special color defined in the Lab color space, a caution mark () is displayed when the output color cannot be reproduced (it is out of the gamut) with the selected media and quality.
Delta E Color difference values from the reproducible range of colors*1 Printer Output Process color values to which the special color has been converted
MEMO If the output color is a special color defined in the Lab color space, the values converted with the method displayed in the Matching Method field on the right are displayed.Matching Method When setting multiple special colors at the same time, select with *2 . - Use Edit Output Color to change the output color.
- When using a color from a different spot color library
Select the Select color from Roland Color System Library checkbox, then click Select and specify the color for replacement.
- Specifying the CMYK value directly
Change the CMYK value.
- Changing Matching Method
Select from Matching Method. However, this change is only available when the spot color is one defined in the Lab color space.
MEMO Make adjustments while checking the output result each time you change the color values. - When using a color from a different spot color library
- Click Close.The Special Color List window closes.
- Click OK.The Job Settings window closes.
- Perform printing.Processing by the RIP and printing start.
